Guiding You To Light and Authentic Power
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, writer, and entrepreneur, dedicated to creating transformative experiences through my companies, including Hope+Wellness and InnerCalling. At the core of everything I do is a deep belief in the power of light in darkness, and a passion for helping people reconnect with their authentic power and inner light. My work bridges the worlds of psychology, spirituality, and mental health, guiding others toward healing, self-discovery, and a more empowered life.
My Story
My own family life was significantly affected by bipolar disorder, a genetic illness with multiple members affected. I understand firsthand the pain and devastation that depression, mood, stress, and anxiety can bring — how difficult it can be to work through periods of suffering and hopelessness, and the critical difference that therapy and support can make in healing.
These life experiences motivate me. They deeply inform my work with clients, and inspire me each day to connect with people struggling with depression, stress, and anxiety to know that hope and wellness are possible — that through darkness can come greater light, wisdom, and wholeness.
Hope+ Wellness
Hope+Wellness is a therapy practice I founded for people seeking compassionate care where you feel truly seen and heard — an open, relatable space where you can be authentic and genuine while feeling supported in figuring this whole life thing out. I founded it in 2018 as a place where you can find light in all the darkness that life can sometimes bring.
It can be challenging to find a therapist you feel genuinely comfortable around — someone who truly cares. The clinicians at Hope+Wellness are the therapists you’ve been searching for — people who will support you in:
developing deeper insights toward positive growth and transformation,
help you feel safe to explore places that are tough, dark and scary,
supporting you in exploring what your unique values and strengths are to help you build a fulfilling life of meaning and purpose.
If this resonates with you, feel free to head over to Hope+Wellness to learn more. We are a group of individuals, people, therapists, psychologists, clinicians, and humans, highly dedicated to each client and to the art and craft of therapy. It’s natural to have questions in your search for a therapist and we would be happy to help.

education
You can find my formal bio at the Hope+Wellness website here, and view my curriculum vitae here. The informal version of my bio is the following —
I believe we are all deeply interconnected—each of us shaped by the many people, experiences, and influences that guide us through life. As a clinical psychologist, I don’t just represent myself; I carry forward the wisdom, training, and mentorship of the clinicians who have influenced me along the way.
Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to train and work alongside remarkable clinicians at world-renowned institutions, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Children’s National, Kennedy Krieger Institute, the University of Maryland, and the National Institutes of Health. These organizations are known for their exceptional care, deep clinical expertise, and unwavering compassion. They’ve taught me what it truly means to serve clients with humanity, empathy, and a commitment to their well-being.
I am deeply grateful for these experiences and the people who have shaped my journey. It’s an honor to share that spirit of compassion and dedication with my clients through my clinical work and writing.
the heart of my work
Darkness is real. Oftentimes, existential questions and feelings of meaninglessness or hopelessness may emerge when feeling depressed. Although this is often unspoken, depression and suicidality can come with a sense of self-loathing and self-hatred, particularly in the adolescent years when coming of age.
It is important to have a clinician who is willing and able to go into these dark places with each person, to help acknowledge these spaces while also moving toward a greater sense of light and hope again. Darkness makes people uncomfortable, and yet these dark places are exactly where we need to go, to help find and make sense of it all again. Like Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole, depression and intense moods can make what is in actuality, up, seem down.
It can be tough to find someone to explore these dark places with — someone who can understand the darkness, who is not afraid of it, and yet can help you begin to make contact with the inner light within you or to reconnect with it again. This is what I seek to do throughout all of my work.
Walking alongside clients in some of the darkest moments in their lives, grappling with some of the most difficult questions and concerns regarding what it really means to be human, and working together to help bring light to darkness, has been one of my life’s greatest honors.
on writing
I am a writer. I’ve written for blogs and websites such as Psychology Today, collaborated on articles in top, peer-reviewed scientific journals in psychiatry and psychology, and published a book, but my favorite writing over the years has been that which is directly to the reader — you.
Over the years, what I’ve come to love about writing is the sense of connection it creates. Writing reminds me that none of us are truly alone in navigating this amazing yet often painful journey called life.
When I write, I draw from my experiences as a psychologist, clinician, and human being. I think of you, the reader, someone who may be searching for something, a yet unnamed and unknown thing. I also reflect on my training and life journeys I’ve had to privilege of walking on. Through it all is a sense of interconnection. Through my writing, you can get a sense of the spirit of which I bring to all of my clinical work with clients, and which I seek to infuse throughout all my projects.
I’m currently working on a book which I am excited to share with you one day. I am really looking forward this privilege. Please stay tuned! Fingers crossed that I will make it to the finish line for this next book on the power of intuition and of trusting your inner voice.
Thank you for visiting and connecting with me!
